Client: Private equity firm
Valuation controller
For one of Sweden's largest private equity firms, we took on the role of valuation controller as the company needed support. The role involved analysis of quarterly valuations, system responsibility, preparation of partner materials and presentations to the investor committee. The role also included the development of the valuation system and onboarding of new portfolio companies.
Client: Credit market company
Internal processes and internal control
A rapidly growing credit market company contacted us to assist with the work on internal processes and internal control for the company. We conducted a review and documentation of essential internal processes, developed a control framework and identified key controls which were also documented. The project was successful and contributed to the company's further expansion and attainment of a banking license.
Client: International bank
New consolidation system
A heavily administrated consolidation system that provided inadequate support in the process of internal transactions was replaced and modernised. For the international bank, we also provided expert knowledge in the procurement and implementation. We formulated requirements together with the finance function, acted as test lead and assisted in developing training materials. The project was successful and the bank now has a well-functioning consolidation system.
Client: Insurance company
Lean-Agile transformation
We were asked to help leading a lean-agile transformation with the SAFe framework at an insurance company. The company had previously faced challenges with long delivery times and poor quality in its digital transition. The transformation was based on the recommended roadmap but was adapted to the client's unique challenges. The client now has control over its capacity with a prioritised backlog for all development within both business and IT.
Client: Swedish bank
Regulatory reporting
After the bank implemented a strategic platform for regulatory reporting, the work of transferring priority reporting from existing systems and applications to the new platform remained. We were then asked to lead the migration project, which was carried out together with employees at the bank and consultants from the platform provider. Our contribution consisted of project management, regulatory expertise and business analysis. The project focused on liquidity reporting, financial statistics and government reporting.
Client: Swedish bank
ESG factors
The bank's sustainability department needed support in working with the new sustainability requirements. We were asked to help the mapping the governance structure needed for effective management of these requirements. We also supported them in conducting a preliminary analysis of the new disclosure requirements for Pillar 3 reporting. The work also involved creating a solid structure to ensure high-quality reporting.
Client: Credit market company
Accounting and capital adequacy
When one of our clients divested parts of its foreign operations, expert help was needed to analyse the accounting and capital adequacy implications that the divestment entailed. We then prepared material that clearly explained the consequences for management and the board. We also assisted the company with hedge accounting issues concerning both net investments in foreign currency and portfolio hedging of interest rate risk.
Client: Financial institution
Application for authorisation to the Financial Supervisory Authority
A financial institution wanted to develop and broaden its operations and needed assistance with its application to the Financial Supervisory Authority for conducting financing activities. We were tasked with preparing an internal capital and liquidity assessment (ICLA) as well as developing internal guidelines for risk management and risk control. After completing the assignment, the company was granted authorisation by the Financial Supervisory Authority.
Customer: Subsidiary in a listed group
New treasury
When a listed group sold its subsidiary to new owners, it was necessary to establish a new treasury. We were asked to assist the customer with this, something we did in several ways. During the build-up phase, we provided the client with a full-time interim treasurer but we also helped with the procurement and implementation of a new system for both treasury and consolidation. At the same time, we supported the company in complex accounting matters. The project was successful and the customer now has a well-functioning treasury.
Client: International fund administrator
New Fund administration system
An international fund administrator divested its Swedish operations and the newly formed Swedish company needed to migrate to a new fund administration system. We were asked to lead the project alongside the administrator's employees. Our contribution included requirement specification, supplier identification, procurement and migration of existing investor data and accounting. Despite the unusually tight timeframe, the project proceeded without delays and went live as planned.
Client: Securities company
Establishment Work: Compliance
In order to ensure an independent compliance function at the securities company, we were assigned to establish the necessary structures and processes. Originally, the company's compliance function had been an integrated part of the finance function of the company. For this client, we contributed by developing a working order for the function, a compliance policy, as well as an annual and control plan for the function. For a period of time, we also maintained the compliance function, which meant that we performed the ongoing tasks for which the function was responsible.
